What are you using for CAT control ? Winlink has options for K480-Mic or K480-Aux

Open a Vara-HF session in winlink, then in the session window click “Settings>Radio Setup

Use Kenwood Amateur for the radio model, then set the radio control port to the correct port & baud

Below that there is a “PTT Port (optional)” . Set it to K480-AUX

Kevin,
Verified the sound card setting are using the “USB audio codec”.

I believe the issue might be due to the transmit sending the wrong command on CAT control.  TX or TX0 sends using the microphone input for the audio.  TX1 sends using audio from the data port on the back.  I have not had a chance to install a COM port monitor to check.
