Make sure to install the virtual com port driver as mentioned.

Also make sure that the TNC is not turned on.
Then turn on the radio and connect it to the computer before you start the MCP software.
Then in the software select the correct com port and read data from the transceiver.
After that i would upgrade it to v1.10
